Why do people still use Internet Explorer?

There techie friend hasn't been around and installed firefox, or it's me gran on her quadcore who only plays games. XD

Because alot of these other browsers are un-dependable and they don't interface with most programs.

Ive tried firefox and liked but it didn't work with my other programs so I got rid of it.

P.s The new internet explorer sucks.. I use the old version.

well running bear, its the default and not everyone knows that other things exist, some people think its genuinely better though (not be I use Mozilla)
I had MSN through Qwest and it got turned off and then they turned it back on..their fault like usual. Anyhow I could not use the MSN anymore and only internet explorer is working??? It sucks. I don't like it and don't know how to get rid of it. I have complained and they can't figure out the problem. And I am paying out the *** for it....
The only browsers that are truly viable there is Opera and Firefox.

I personally use Firefox and Internet Explorer. I am being more swayed towards Internet Explorer however due to the massive amounts of memory that Firefox has been using recently.

Earlier today my PC was running slow so I did ctrl alt delete to find out why. Firefox was using up 140MB or memory. Why does a browser need so much especially when I only had 2 tabs open.
some sites don't work with firefox.. i still have IE for backup
