I'm currently co-running Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox...
What browser do you think is the best? You can choose from the following:
Internet Explorer 7, Firefox, Netscape, Opera, or some other internet browser that I'm not aware of.
To help you with your choice, if you don't think it's clear, here are some of the homepages of the web browsers listed above:
IE7: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/defa...
Firefox: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/
Netscape: http://browser.netscape.com/ns8/
Opera: http://www.opera.com/index.dml
Please do not give me a lecture on what is the basis of picking the best browser. If you do give me such a lecture, my finger is hovering over the "Report Abuse" button... but please give me proof and a few websites if you have them. And the websites should be at least moderately competitive. (In other words, they should criticize at least one other browser.)
Only people running Windows 2000 and higher answer please...

It depends on your application. Some websites only read well with IE5.5 or higher. IE is more susceptible to virus attacks because it is far more popular and utilized than other browsers.
I use Firefox when I can, IE when I need to. Netscape is AOL's crappy browser. It used to be good - now it is merely an AOL garbage dump (like anything else AOL touches)

I personally like Firefox. There are alot less (almost none) popups, unlike when I had explorer, or even netscape. Sorry, the only thing I have to go by is my experience. Good luck
I like Firefox but I do occasionally use Deepnet Explorer because it has a great RSS reader and a P2P client - http://www.deepnetexplorer.com/
FIREFOX is the big daddy
Opera is my choice. It has the most features/applications built right in which are integrated very well. It has ingenious design and looks the best, also. Opera makes me more efficient than the other browsers because it enables me to do so many things without the need for extra applications, 3rd-party extensions, etc. The consistent interface, mouse gestures, keyboard shortcuts for mail, notes, browsing, newsgroups, newsfeeds, etc. make it a wonderful package, indeed. The competition is playing catch-up in terms of overall power and quality in my estimation. Now if the public would only wake up and see Opera for what it truly is.....
