Do you mean STRIGILS like in various insect groups?

If it is strigils you are looking for, then the "combs" you are referring to are located on various body parts in different insect groups. In grasshoppers, the strigils are located on the hind legs and on the outer surface of the forewings.

In katydids, the strigils are all located on the forewings.

Water boatmen also have strigls, these are located on the forelegs and on the head.

I hope this helps!

Check yahoo images or something and just type in strigils, to see what they realyl look like, then you should find them yourself. Report It
